She toured the stand-up comedy circuit in New York City for several years, producing two bi-monthly shows -- "Newborn Comics -- Actors Who Stand Up" and an all female line-up, "Girls Flying High."
She was featured in "Pinero" (Miramax 2001), starring Benjamin Bratt, had several TV appearances, and played eight roles in the long running Off-Broadway hit, "Tony n' Tina's Wedding." Regional theatre credits include the starring role of Angie in "Breaking Legs" at Studio Arena (Buffalo, NY) -- she will revive this role in Vienna, Austria in May 2005.
Joanne Newborn's original play, "Sexy & Strong -- So What's Wrong?" will be produced in Los Angeles in 2004.
She is a proud graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre and has her BA from Pace University.
